in honour of captain matthew flinders! this man circumnavigated australia.

flinders street station, hub of melbourne's transport system, in the day.

federation square, which is like esplanade.

i was trying to catch myself on the big screen too

the gulls seem ravenous; in eager anticipation for food

ferris wheel and carousel are my two favourite rides in a carnival

off we go in a teacup, and watch everything turn into blurry rainbows

leap into a dream world of music.
and feel like an angel in the sky

it's a beautiful day
the sun is shining
i feel good
and no-one's gonna stop me now, oh yeah

no two bridges look the same; each has its own unique charm

chug-chug

where the australian open is played

no joke but i heard "rasa sayang.." being played on the speakers along the bridge. behind is telstra stadium which was once the olympic stadium.

tranquility, cool lifting breezes and all

hotel rendezvous melbourne. very renaissance. and i've always liked this name.

immigration museum. they call many things museum.

aboriginal artefacts along the yarra river

melbourne exhibition centre

the currents are really strong! and drinking holes line the yarra river. no one has ever dropped in in a moment of inebriation though.

along the boardwalk of prolly woodside maritime park. they were strolling, i was prancing. i seriously think my boots will not last me till the end of the trip.

display outside melbourne exhibition centre

broken clouds along the blue horizon
the sun is setting...
there is music all around
Can you hear it--it's the
the song of the sea.

peekaboo!

i was in absolute glee because my brother pushed me on the swing like he did when we were kids

anchored in air

national australian bank headquarters. very colourful. even the pavements surrounding the building are multi-coloured.

kinetic sculpture

new quay promenade. high-end waterfront living by victoria harbour.

victoria harbour

telstra dome, where sport clashes and entertainment extravaganzas happen

royal arcade, australia's oldest surviving arcade

we keep ending up at this little chinese eatery in a secluded alley of chinatown which serves great smoked fish, rice balls and dumplings whenever we just feel like snacking. i foresee more dumplings days ahead. they remind me of younger days when the family would feast on dumplings at people's park.
